Where to Find Maytag Parts?

With Maytag being such a household name, it can be hard to see that not a lot of people know much about the history of the brand. If you are someone that owns a Maytag then you may be interested in knowing that the brand you are using did not start making washing machines until 1907 and it was not until 1911 that the first washing machine with an electric motor was introduced. Since there were customers who did not receive electricity, the gasoline engine washing machine was brought out in 1915. With all of the improvements Maytag was making, it is no wonder that by 1927 this company had produced more then one million washing machines.

Even though, believe it or not, Maytag began with farm equipment they have been the masters of washing machine production for many years. But even the best of the best will break down from time to time. Instead of going out and simply buying an entirely new washing machine it is probably better that you take the time to find the parts you need and get the machine fixed. The last thing that you will want to do though is to call Maytag and purchase parts straight from them. This is because you will find yourself spending a lot more money and you will probably find the entire experience somewhat of a hassle.

The best thing that you can do for your wallet is to find a brick and mortar or an online appliance store that sells Maytag parts. Buy going those these other companies you will find yourself getting better deals for the same exact part that you would have gotten by going directly through the Maytag company. The thing that you have to do though, especially if you are trying to order your parts online without the help of a customer service rep is to know the exact item number you need.

Generally, the appliance number can be found on the appliance. If not you could always check the manual for the part you are working on replacing. The exact model number should be able to be found there. For those without a manual or simply cannot find the information needed within it, you could always call an appliance parts store and someone there should be more then willing to help you figure out what part number you need. They will need to know that exact model of appliance you are using and then they can find the right part number for you.

So that you are ready to go you should have no problem getting your Maytag appliance fixed. Just take your time, do it yourself, and revel in the fact that you saved yourself a good bit of money by working on the appliance and replacing the part on your own. Also, you will be happy to see how much money you were able to save when you did not deal directly with the company in order to obtain your replacement parts.
